The two most prominent wallpapers in the house are in the two original rooms of the Richard Hooper house. On the first floor, the wallpaper depicts the Bosphorus in Turkey, while the paper on the second floor depicts the Bay of Naples. Both papers were printed by leading Parisian scenic wallpaper company, Joseph Dufour et Cie. The Bosphorus paper was installed in 1856 by the Nichols family to match the paper they found on the second floor. However there is no record of who installed the first paper. The Naples paper was printed using an earlier technique, and is certainly older.
